Royal baby named Aadyaveer Narasimharaja wadiyar
The 28th prince of Mysuru Royal family has been named as Adyaveer Narasimha Wodeyar in a simple private ceremony held at Bengaluru palace here on Sunday.
Adopted son Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodiyar's wife Trishikaa Kumari Devi gave birth to male baby on December 6, 2017. The naming ceremony was supervised by Ms Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.
In May 2015, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar was crowned as the 27th titular scion of the Mysuru Royal family, succeeding the former scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, who passed away in 2013, who had no heir.
Later in the year 2015, Wadiyar's wife queen Pramoda Devi formally adopted Yaduveer, who is the nephew of late Maharaja and the son of Leela Tripurasundari Devi and Swarup Anand Gopalraj Urs.
